1 airlifted after pursuit, crash on County Rd 500 in Woods County

WOODS COUNTY, OK — One person was critically injured Wednesday night in a wreck involving a stolen vehicle on County Road 500 near Hopeton, reports News9.
The crash happened off a T intersection about ten miles southeast of the city, at around 9:35 p.m.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Major County Deputy Anthony Robinson was pursuing a driver in a vehicle that had been reported stolen. At one point, the fleeing vehicle went past the intersection, entered a ditch and then a field, where it overturned.
The driver, who suffered internal injuries to their head and neck, was airlifted to Fairview Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
