1 dead, 1 hospitalized following fiery crash with big rig in El Reno

EL RENO, OK – One person died, and another was hospitalized following a fiery vehicle crash that involved a big rig in El Reno on Thursday.

The collision happened before 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Highway 66 and Manning Road outside of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, KOCO reports. Based on what our team knows so far, it seems a car caught onfire after colliding with the big rig.

One woman died from her injuries as a result, and the truck driver was transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The car was completely burned to a crisp, while the truck came to rest on the shoulder.

Police have not released the decedent’s identity.
