1 dead, 5 sent to hospital after car, big rig collision in Coleman

COLEMAN, OK – One person died and two adults and three children were hospitalized following a collision between a car and a big rig on Wednesday, KTEN said.
The crash took place at the intersection of State Highway 48 and Egypt Road. Preliminary details show that a driver of a car had made a turn in front of the truck, which caused the vehicles to collide.
The car’s front seat passenger succumbed to their injuries.
EMS crews transported the car driver, an adult, and a child to Texoma Medical Center in Denison, and medical helicopter personnel took the two other children to North Texas hospitals.
No injuries were reported for the truck driver.
