1 ejected, killed in 2-vehicle crash on I-44 near MM 257

CLAREMORE, OK – A 37-year-old man died Saturday in a two-vehicle collision along the interstate in central Rogers County, reports KTUL News 8.
The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. on the westbound side of the Will Rogers Turnpike near mile marker 257. This is on the eastern outskirts of Claremore, about 30 miles northeast of Tulsa.
Police haven’t specified the cause of the crash or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.
An unrestrained driver, identified as Matthew Gatewood, died at the scene of the wreck after being thrown from his vehicle.
The other driver, identified as 26-year-old Aaron Brixey, was unhurt.
A full investigation is underway.
