1 hit, critically hurt by train along S Shields Blvd in SE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries Friday afternoon after an apparent pedestrian versus train incident in southeast Oklahoma City, reports KFOR.

The crash was reported at about 3:30 p.m. on the tracks along South Shields Boulevard at Southeast 27th Street, in the Shidler-Wheeler area.

Oklahoma City Police Department officials said the victim was transported to an area hospital with injuries believed to be “serious to critical,” but no information regarding the circumstances of the incident has been provided.

Aerial footage captured at the scene at about 4:30 p.m. showed crews had cleared out of the area and the train resuming movement, suggesting no major traffic delays.
