1 hospitalized, 1 arrested after wrong-way crash at NW 10th and Youngs

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police are investigating a major head-on crash Friday morning that killed one person in central Oklahoma City.

According to KOCO News 5, the accident happened sometime before 8:45 a.m. near the intersection of Northwest 10th Street and Youngs Boulevard. This is east of I-44 and north of I-40.

Authorities haven’t yet shared many details about the collision. They say that one driver went to the hospital, while another driver was taken into custody.

Video footage taken at the scene indicates that the crash likely involved at least two sedans.

Officials closed Northwest 10th Street in the area of the wreck while crews worked to clear the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
