1 hospitalized, another arrested following Tulsa hit-and-run

TULSA, OK – One man from Tulsa is in critical condition and another is in custody following a hit-and-run involving a cyclist Monday night.

According to News on 6, the incident occurred near 31st Street and South Joplin Avenue shortly before 11:00 p.m. Initial reports were of a shooting, but when officials arrived on the scene they discovered the bicyclist had been hit by a car.

The unidentified man was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver involved went home to park his vehicle then returned to the scene of the crash. He was arrested on charges of fleeing the scene of an injury collision.
