1 killed, 1 arrested in fatal DUI crash on Riverside Dr in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – A woman sustained fatal injuries late Tuesday night in an DUI crash along a major roadway in south-central Tulsa, reports News 9.
The incident occurred just before midnight on Riverside Drive between 54th Place and 56th Place. This is just south of I-44 and east of the Arkansas River.
Police say that a drunk driver, since identified as Isiah Brown, lost control of his pickup truck and crashed. The vehicle overturned multiple times, ejecting Brown’s wife, who died after transport to an area hospital.
Authorities identified the victim as Dayani Soberanis.
An investigation located open containers of alcohol in the vehicle, indicating that Brown was likely drinking while driving.
Officials arrested Brown on multiple charges, including DUI, first-degree manslaughter, reckless driving, and possession of a firearm while drunk.
The investigation is ongoing.
