1 killed, 2 critical in crash at SE 41st St and S Shields Blvd

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A pedestrian died, and two people sustained serious injuries Friday in a collision involving two vehicles in south-central Oklahoma City, reports KFOR News 4.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at Southeast 41st Street and South Shields Boulevard in the Oliver Park South neighborhood. This is southeast of Draper Park and southwest of Cesar Chavez Elementary School.
Police say that a speeding vehicle struck a car that was reversing from a driveway near the intersection. The speeding vehicle then hit a pedestrian in a yard.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified by authorities, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle and a passenger went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested the driver of the speeding vehicle. Charges have not yet been announced.
The investigation is ongoing.
