1 killed, 2 injured in collision during pursuit in NE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person died Monday night after a police pursuit led to a crash that injured two others on Interstate 35 in northeast Oklahoma City, reports News9.
The wreck occurred on the southbound lanes, just south of Northeast Grand Boulevard, near the city’s North Creston Hills area.
Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the events unfolded shortly before 9:00 p.m., when officers tried to stop a stolen truck that was traveling recklessly and running other drivers off the roadway.
Troopers resorted to a tactical maneuver, but the driver of the truck tried to evade the move, causing the vehicle to roll.
Two of the truck’s three occupants were ejected in the crash.
One person died as a result of their injuries, confirmed authorities.
Another person suffered critical injuries and was transported to an area hospital along with a third patient, who is expected to make a recovery.
