1 killed in 2-vehicle crash involving semi at I-35 and 23rd

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Emergency teams responded to a fatality crash involving a semi along the interstate in northeast Oklahoma City on Wednesday, reports News on 6.
The two-vehicle collision happened in the afternoon on the southbound side of I-35 at Northeast 23rd Street in the Creston Hills area.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a sedan crashed into an 18-wheeler after merging onto the interstate from 23rd Street.
One person died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet disclosed the name of the deceased.
Officials closed the southbound side of I-35 in the area of the crash while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the wreckage.
