GRADY COUNTY, OK – Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol have confirmed the death of a 12-year-old child following a multi-vehicle collision in Grady County Thursday.

According to KFOR, the incident happened at about 10:52 a.m. along U.S. 81 about 3 miles from Minco. Police say the driver of a Ford F-150 crossed in front of the Dodge Avenger carrying the boy and two other occupants causing the crash.

A 40-year-old woman who was driving the Avenger remains in critical condition after being pinned inside the vehicle for 30 minutes following the crash. The other passenger, a 15-year-old, is recovering in fair condition at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center.

The occupant inside the F-150 was treated and released from Grady County Memorial Hosptial.

Officials believe everyone involved in the crash was wearing their seatbelt except for the boy who was killed.

No charges have been filed in this case as of Friday evening.
