OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two people were transported to an area hospital following a fiery three-vehicle collision on Interstate 35 on Friday, Koco5 said.
The crash occurred near Northeast 36th Street and involved a Frito-Lay tractor-trailer, a tractor towing a brush hog, and a Jeep. Preliminary details show the driver of the semi-truck crashed into the tractor after they both entered the intersection at the same time. Both vehicles turned, and the semi-truck crashed into a bridge and caught on fire.
Officials did not specify whether the Jeep crashed into the semi-truck or tractor.
Authorities had to close the area to allow firefighters to put out the fire and for crews to clean up debris from the crash and restore safe road conditions.
On a similar note, another fiery semi-truck crash also occurred on Interstate 35 along NE 36th Street on Monday.
