At least two people suffered injuries in a recent semi-truck crash in Oklahoma City that stopped the flow of traffic, an October 27 article of News Channel 4 reported.

According to reports, at about 2:24 a.m. a pickup truck and a semi-truck loaded with bottled water had a collision at the intersection of I-35 and I-40. Responding authorities told reports the collision happened after the pickup drove the wrong way. Rescuers extracted the pickup driver, who was pinned inside the vehicle. The two drivers were brought to the hospital, but information concerning their conditions was unavailable as of reporting. Fire crews were also called after the trailer of the truck caught fire and its fuel continued to leak. Hazardous material crews were necessary for cleaning the fuel spill. In a Twitter post, the state’s Department of Transportation advised motorists travelling through the area to look for alternate routes.
