2 lives claimed in fiery collision in Guthrie

GUTHRIE, OK – Two people lost their lives in a fiery collision in Guthrie on Monday, Koco5 said.

The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Noble Avenue East near 17th Street. Guthrie police said a driver of a car lost control of their vehicle, which caused them to drift out of their lane and collide with a curb before crashing into two trees and plowing through a fence at Ritzhaupt Park.

The car caught on fire, and the two occupants inside unfortunately died from their injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
