2 men in 20s, teen killed in Fourth of July head-on collision near Lake Oologah

NEAR LAKE OOLOGAH, OK – Two men in their 20s and a 17-year-old teenager were killed in a head-on collision near Lake Oologah.
The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on the Fourth of July in the area of Highway 169 and County Road East 300, according to Koco5News.
Additional information from OKCFOX reveals a Chevy Trax SUV and a GMC Sierra pickup truck hauling a boat collided head-on.
One driver, who was identified as 21-year-old Ryan Lawfer from Sapulpa, and his two passengers, 22-year-old Aidan Jones, from Wagoner, and a 17-year-old teenager from Kiefer, died from their injuries.
Two people, not in Lawfer’s vehicle, and a third passenger of Lawfer’s survived and sustained unspecified injuries.
OHP closed the area for nearly four hours before reopening all lanes.
OHP did not specify what vehicle Lawfer was driving and is investigating the details behind the deadly Fourth of July crash.
