Last week, 2 Douglass High School students went to the hospital after the school bus they were riding in crashed into a car. The driver of the car has been cited for driving without insurance and driving without a license.

According to police, at around 7:10 a.m., the car’s driver made an improper right turn, causing the school bus to run into it. The accident occurred at the intersection of Lottie Avenue and NE 16. Another bus took the uninjured students to school, while two injured high school students were taken to Mercy Health Center. The students’ injuries were reported to be minor.
