2-vehicle crash at NW 178th and Penn kills 1 in north-central OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A two-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in north-central Oklahoma City killed one person on Monday, reports KOCO News 5.
The accident occurred just before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest 178th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, which is northeast of West Field Elementary School.
Police say that a Ford F-350 pickup truck hit a red Toyota Camry when the driver of the latter vehicle turned left on a flashing yellow arrow without yielding the right of way.
A passenger in the Toyota sustained fatal injuries. Authorities have not yet released their identity to the public.
It’s unclear if anyone else involved in the crash required hospitalization.
