2-vehicle crash at OK-56 and N Mission Rd kills 1, injures 1

OKMULGEE, OK – A two-vehicle collision at an intersection in central Okmulgee County killed an elderly man on Sunday, reports KJRH News 2.
The incident happened at OK-56 and North Mission Road, which is south of Okmulgee Regional Airport on the north end of Okmulgee.
There’s no word yet on what caused the accident, but police say it left the victim pinned for over an hour until crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate him. He then died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as 70-year-old Ricci Barton.
Medics transported a second driver to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
