2-vehicle crash involving semi kills 1 near Drumright

CREEK CO., OK – The 19-year-old driver of a pickup truck died on Thursday after his vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler on a state highway near Drumright.
According to KOCO News 5, the incident happened around 6:50 a.m. on OK-33 east of Drumright, which is in northwestern Creek County.
The investigation thus far indicates that a westbound 2007 Dodge Ram veered into the eastbound lane of OK-33 and crashed into a 2018 Kenworth semi-truck.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as Jake Snell, died after being pinned at the scene of the accident and extricated.
Medics transported the driver of the tractor-trailer to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
