2-vehicle crash on OK-76 near Erin Springs kills woman, injures teen

GARVIN CO., OK – A 36-year-old woman died, and a teen sustained injuries Friday in a two-vehicle crash in northwest Garvin County.

According to KXII 12, the incident happened in the morning just east of Erin Springs on OK-76.

Police say that a southbound truck struck a Jeep as the latter vehicle was exiting a private drive.

The driver of the Jeep died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities identified her as Amanda Medellin of Lindsay.

Medics transported a 17-year-old passenger from the Jeep to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The truck driver was not hurt in the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
