2-vehicle crash on US-62 near Chickasha kills 1, injures 2

GRADY CO., OK – A Pocasset woman died Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in central Grady County, reports KOCO News 5.

The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. on US-62 just east of Chickasha. This is about 43 miles south of Oklahoma City.

Police say that a Toyota Tundra and a Cadillac SRX collided when the driver of the former vehicle failed to yield the right of way when entering the highway.

A passenger in the Cadillac, identified as Stephany Rumley, died after transport to an area hospital.

Both drivers sustained injuries in the crash. Medics transported the driver of the Cadillac to an area hospital. It’s unclear if the other driver required hospitalization.

A full investigation is underway.
