2-vehicle crash on US-62 near Duke kills 3, injures 1

JACKSON CO., OK – One adult and two juveniles died Thursday in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in northwest Jackson County, reports Texoma’s homepage.
The accident happened shortly before 4 p.m. near US-62 and 1940 Road. This is just east of the city of Duke and about 153 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.
Police haven’t yet specified the cause of the crash or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.
Authorities pronounced the driver of one of the vehicles and two juvenile passengers deceased. They identified the adult as 36-year-old Landreth Emswiler.
Medics airlifted a young boy from the same car to an area hospital with critical injuries.
It’s unclear if the two occupants of the other vehicle sustained injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
