The crash occurred on 234th Street NW, near Okarche, when the driver of a 2001 Freightliner dump truck attempted to drive across a set of railroad tracks. The truck was then struck by a Union Pacific train, which pushed the vehicle about a third of a mile before stopping.
22-year-old Warr Acres man Hugo J. Barrera, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time, was ejected from the vehicle.
Barrera was taken to the hospital in Kingfisher, where he was later pronounced dead.
