CADDO COUNTY, OK — Three people died Wednesday evening in a multi-vehicle wreck that critically hurt another on U.S. Highway 281 near Gracemont, reports KOCO.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said the fatal collision occurred on the southbound lanes just before 6:00 p.m.
A preliminary investigation shows a 27-year-old Arizona resident was driving a 2020 Toyota Yaris southbound on the highway, when, for reasons still unknown, the car veered past the center line and hit a 2014 Chrysler 200 head-on.
Officials said both drivers and a passenger in the Chrysler all died from their injuries at the scene.
One other occupant suffered critical injuries and was rushed to OU Medical Center.
