37-year-old woman’s life claimed in two-vehicle crash in Smithville

SMITHVILLE, OK – A 37-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Smithville on Tuesday, according to OKCFOX.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol believes the 37-year-old woman, identified as Chelsea Patterson, was driving south on U.S. 259 and tried to pass a vehicle in front of her that had made a turn. As Patterson tried to overtake, she crashed her vehicleinto another.
Patterson and one of her passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
Subsequently, Patterson died from her injuries, and her two passengers sustained unspecified injuries.
EMS crews transported those passengers to a hospital for treatment.
The other driver was uninjured.
