4 teens arrested after pursuit, injury crash in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Four teenagers were taken into custody Saturday after a high-speed pursuit and crash in northwest Oklahoma City, reports News9.
Oklahoma City Police said the wreck occurred on the Northwest Expressway near North Portland Avenue.
According to authorities, the events unfolded in the area of Wilshire Boulevard and Lyrewood Lane, where a patrol officer spotted a stolen truck leaving a parking lot. As officers tried to pull the driver over, the vehicle fled, prompting an initial pursuit. As the fleeing vehicle reached speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour, however, officers decided to terminate the chase. A short time later, the vehicle crashed.
The OCPD said one other vehicle was impacted by the crash, causing undisclosed injuries to its driver.
All four occupants of the causing vehicle fled on foot, but were later apprehended. After being taken to a hospital to be evaluated for injuries, all four were booked into Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center.
