4-Year-Old Killed in Oklahoma Car Accident

A toddler from Miami, Oklahoma died Friday night after his mother’s vehicle ran off the road and rolled over.

According to officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 4 year-old Robert Hardee was a passenger in a westbound car on State Highway 10C, about five and a half miles north and one mile east of Wyandotte in Ottaway County when the crash occurred. Police say the boy’s mother, 32 year-old Tamara Hardee, lost control of the vehicle and it rolled 2 and a half times, and came to rest upside down shortly before 7:30 p.m.

According to a report released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Tamara Hardee’s 7 year-old daughter was transported to a local hospital in good condition. The police report lists the cause of the collision as driving under the influence of medication.

Robert Hardee was not wearing a seat belt.

It is unknown whether Tamara Hardee will face charges.
