5-vehicle crash on I-40 WB near MM 182 in Shawnee kills 2

SHAWNEE, OK – Two people died, and three people were hurt Friday in a multi-vehicle collision along the interstate in north-central Pottawatomie County, reports KOCO News 5.
The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on the westbound side of I-40 near Acme Road. This is on the northwest side of Shawnee.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the crash, which police say involved a Kia Forte, an 18-wheeler, and three other passenger vehicles.
Two people from the Kia died at the scene of the wreck. Authorities identified them as Aiden Martin, 22, and Emmaleigh Arnold, 21.
Medics transported three drivers to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
