5-year-old child drowns at splash pad in Caddo County

FORT COBB, OK (CADDO COUNTY) – A five-year-old child drowned in a splash pad area in Caddo County yesterday evening, according to information from KFOR News.
The incident occurred at the Deer Run Splash Pad in Fort Cobb at around 7:09 p.m. At around that time, the boy’s family realized he was missing.
They discovered him later in water that was around three feet deep. The boy received resuscitation efforts before crews arrived at the scene and took him to the hospital in Carnegie. There, he was pronounced dead.
According to the report, the boy was not wearing a flotation device when the incident happened.
