Pedestrian fatally hit by train along S High Ave in SE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A woman died Monday afternoon after being struck by a train in southeast Oklahoma City’s Shields-Davis neighborhood, according to KFOR.
The fatal incident took place in the area of Southeast 51st Street and South High Avenue, shortly before 4:00 p.m.
No details have been disclosed regarding the circumstances behind the event, but officials indicated the victim died as a result of her injuries at the scene.
A section of High Avenue was blocked as the train came to a stop after the impact.
An investigation into the cause of the crash was underway.
