OCFD crews called after car crashes into SW Oklahoma City home

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Property damage was reported Thursday evening after a vehicle slammed into a residence in southwest Oklahoma City, reports News9.
The accident happened off the intersection of Southwest 76th Street and Penn Avenue, just south of Interstate 240 and Southern Hills Shopping Center. Oklahoma City Fire Department crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving a call at around 5:15 p.m.
Officials said though the incident was initially reported as an “injury crash,” no one appeared to be seriously hurt as a result of the event.
Footage recorded by News9 shows a dark-colored vehicle crashed into the front door of the home. Damage to part of the building’s brick exterior was observed.
It remains unclear at this time what caused the crash or whether any charges will be filed. An estimate of the cost in property damage has not been released.
