Pedestrian hurt by hit-and-run driver on 29th St in SW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person was injured Thursday morning when they were struck by a vehicle in southwest Oklahoma City’s Industrial Heights neighborhood, reports KFOR.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Southwest 29th Street and South May Avenue. Oklahoma City Police responded to the scene at about 6:00 a.m. after receiving a call from the victim himself.
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but officers arrived to find the driver had fled the scene.
Medics treated the victim at the scene for undisclosed injuries. Authorities did not say whether the patient had to be taken to a hospital.
At this time, no information on the fleeing vehicle or driver has been reported.
