1 killed in crash after tractor-trailer jackknifes on I-44 near Luther

OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK — One person died Thursday morning after a collision involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 44 near southeast Luther, according to KOCO.
The fatal accident took place on the eastbound lanes (Turner Turnpike) near mile marker 152, at about 8:30 a.m.
Little information has been shared regarding the sequence of events leading up to the wreck, but Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials confirmed one person died as a result.
KOCO 5 crews who arrived on the scene shortly said a semi with a trailer appeared to have jackknifed before it ran off the roadway near the exit to Luther.
All eastbound lanes were shut down during the response and initial investigation.
