Solo crash on Kenwood Rd at E 508 Rd near Salina kills 1

MAYES CO., OK – A male driver died on Saturday night in east-central Mayes County after his vehicle crashed and overturned on a major roadway near Salina.

According to News on 6, the incident happened at the intersection of Kenwood Road and East 508 Road, which is just northwest of Chimney Rock Hollow.

Police say that a westbound pickup truck left the roadway and struck a guardrail before overturning and crashing into a tree.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Bailey Ables, died at the scene of the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
