Multi-vehicle crash on I-40 WB at S Western Ave blocks traffic

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A four-vehicle collision on the westbound side of the interstate in downtown Oklahoma City slowed traffic early Tuesday evening, reports KFOR News 4.
The incident happened sometime before 5:47 p.m. at the intersection of I-40 westbound and South Western Avenue, which is just west of Scissortail Park and north of Wheeler Park.
It’s not yet clear what caused the accident, but police say it blocked all of the westbound lanes of I-40 while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
Officials have not reported any injuries so far, but they say that one of the four vehicles overturned as a result of the crash.
