Police chase ends in two-car crash with injuries on Harrison Ave in Shawnee

SHAWNEE, OK – Medics transported three people to the hospital Tuesday in Shawnee after a police chase concluded with a two-car collision near the interstate.
According to KOCO 5, the incident happened Tuesday afternoon on Harrison Avenue near the I-40 on-ramp, which is just southeast of the Shawnee Mall.
Officials say they were pursuing a driver who was wanted on multiple felony warrants. While fleeing police, the driver crashed into another car.
Three people were hurt in the accident, including the suspect, a passenger, and the other driver. The severity of their injuries is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
