TULSA, OK – Three people went to the hospital on Monday after a probable road rage incident in which one vehicle forced another off of the I-44 bridge, reports Fox 23.
The incident happened in the afternoon on the westbound side of the I-44 bridge over the Arkansas River, which is just east of Bales Baseball Park.
Police say that the driver of a 2012 Hyundai Sonata carrying two passengers followed a 2017 Ford Focus to the I-44 bridge. The driver of the Hyundai swerved into the Ford multiple times, forcing the vehicle off of the bridge and into the river below.
Medics transported two passengers from the Hyundai to the hospital in stable condition. The driver of the Ford sustained injuries to the head and the trunk and was admitted to the hospital in stable condition.
Police arrested the driver of the Hyundai, identified as 40-year-old Rashaun Lashelle Parker, on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
The investigation is ongoing.
