Passenger vehicle and bus strike, kill pedestrian on NE 23rd near Coltrane

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A female pedestrian died Wednesday after both a passenger vehicle and a bus struck her along a busy roadway in northeast Oklahoma City.
According to KFOR News 4, the incident happened sometime at night near the intersection of Northeast 23rd Street and North Coltrane Road, which is near Sunnylane Park and the Garden-Diggs Head Start Center.
Police say the victim was attempting to cross Northeast 23rd when an eastbound vehicle hit her. The woman landed on the westbound side of the road and was then struck by an EMBARK bus.
Officials closed all lanes of traffic in the area of the crash while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
