Train and 18-wheeler collide near Seward and Railroad, injuring conductor

SEWARD, OK – A collision involving an 18-wheeler and a train sent one person to the hospital Thursday morning in southern Logan County, reports KOCO News 5.
The incident happened around 11:15 a.m. on the railroad tracks near the intersection of Seward Road and Railroad Avenue, which is just west of Seward Road Baptist Church.
Police say a semi-truck became stuck while attempting to cross the railroad tracks, and an oncoming train struck the big rig.
The collision injured the train conductor, who went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The driver of the semi exited the truck before the collision and did not sustain injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
