Injuries reported in multi-vehicle crash at I-40 EB and Shields Blvd

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving injuries on Wednesday along the interstate near Scissortail Park, reports KOCO News 5.
The accident happened sometime before 9:56 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-40 near South Shields Boulevard, which is just south of downtown Oklahoma City.
The cause of the collision isn’t yet clear, nor have police shared specific details regarding injuries.
Officials say that the crash closed all but one lane of I-40 eastbound while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
