Solo crash at NW 10th and Ann Arbor in OKC downs power lines

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Crews responded to single-vehicle crash that damaged power lines in central Oklahoma City early Thursday morning,

The accident happened around 2 a.m. in the area of Northwest 10th Street and North Ann Arbor Avenue, which is just northwest of Heartland Baptist Bible College.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole, causing downed lines. More than a thousand people lost electricity in their homes following the crash.

It’s not yet clear if the driver or any passengers sustained injuries in the collision.

Crews worked as quickly as possible to clear the scene and repair the downed lines. Power was restored later that same morning.

A full investigation is underway.
