Fiery single-vehicle crash on 1500 Rd near 3988 Dr in Dewey kills 1

DEWEY, OK – A 53-year-old man died early Tuesday evening after a fiery solo crash along 1500 Road in central Washington County, reports Fox 23 News.
The accident happened around 5:07 p.m. near the intersection with 3988 Drive on the eastern outskirts of Dewey. This is about 46 miles north of Tulsa.
Police say the victim lost control while driving eastbound and was thrown from his vehicle after hitting a barrier along the side of the roadway. Upon impact, the vehicle caught fire.
The driver, identified as David Johnson, died at the scene of the accident.
There were no passengers in the car at the time of the crash.
