OKLAHOMA CITY , OK – Injuries have been reported in a single-vehicle crash along the highway in northwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday, reports Fox 25.
The accident happened just after 7 a.m. on the northbound side of the Northwest Expressway near Harvest Hills Road, which is northwest of Resurrection Cemetery.
Police suspect that a white SUV may have struck the pole on a traffic light, though they aren’t yet sure what caused the accident. One person became trapped in the overturned vehicle and required extrication.
It’s not yet clear if anyone went to the hospital, and if so, how badly they were hurt.
Officials closed the northbound lanes of the highway while emergency teams worked to free the entrapped victim and clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
