Solo crash on Elm Grove Rd in Muskogee kills 36-year-old man

MUSKOGEE, OK – A 36-year-old man died Friday night from injuries sustained in a solo crash along a Muskogee roadway, reports Fox 23 News.

The accident happened around 10:45 p.m. on Elm Grove Road, which runs east to west on the south side of the city. Officials have not yet provided a cross street.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the unrestrained victim lost control of his westbound vehicle and overturned after leaving the roadway.

Authorities identified the victim as Christopher Garcia of Muskogee. They say he died at the scene of the accident.

Drivers likely experienced delays along Elm Grove Road in the area of the crash Friday night until crews were able to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
