18-wheeler crash on Turner Tpk at I-35 in NE OKC kills 77-year-old driver

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A Yukon man died Thursday when his 18-wheeler crashed along the toll road in northeast Oklahoma City, reports News 9.
The incident happened in the morning on the eastbound side of Turner Turnpike near the intersection with I-35. This is southwest of Arcadia Lake and north of River Oaks Golf Club.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the 77-year-old driver lost control of the semi and crashed into a bridge along the roadway.
Authorities declared the driver, identified as John Culbertson, deceased at the scene.
Motorists likely encountered significant delays along Turner Turnpike in the area of the wreck while crews worked to compile evidence and clear the scene.
