Hit-and-run vehicle strikes, injures pedestrian on electric scooter in Broken Arrow

BROKEN ARROW, OK – A person riding an electric scooter sustained injuries Monday morning when a vehicle struck them at a busy Broken Arrow intersection, reports Fox 23 News.
The accident happened at Washington Street, or East 91st Street, and Aspen Avenue, which is southwest of Lynn Wood Elementary School.
Police say that an eastbound vehicle struck the victim as they were crossing the street on their electric scooter. The victim sustained non-critical injuries. It is unclear if they required hospitalization.
The driver of the vehicle, whom police have described as an older woman with gray hair, ultimately fled the scene after stopping for only a moment. Officials have not provided a description of the car.
