Solo crash on N MacArthur and W Crescent Dover kills Crescent man

CRESCENT, OK – A 50-year-old man died Tuesday morning after a single-vehicle collision on the far northwest side of Crescent, reports Guthrie News Page.

The accident happened around 10:09 a.m. at North MacArthur Boulevard and West Crescent Dover Rd, which is just northeast of Oak Grove Cemetery.

Police say the victim was speeding southbound in his 2000 Toyota Tacoma when he lost control of the vehicle. The Toyota rolled shortly after the victim ran a red light at the intersection. The impact of the crash threw the unrestrained driver from his vehicle, and he died at the scene.

Authorities identified the victim as James Dean Ramsey.

There were no passengers in the Toyota at the time of the crash.

A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
