2-vehicle crash at US-412A near E 560 Rd kills Locust Grove motorcyclist

DELAWARE CO., OK – A man died, and a woman sustained injuries last Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash in southwest Delaware County, reports KSN 16.
The accident happened around 7:15 p.m. on US-412A north of E 560 Rd, which is west of the Cherokee Turnpike Toll Plaza and the city of Leach.
Police haven’t yet shared any details about the cause of the collision, which they say involved a 2007 Honda CTR motorcycle and a 2020 Jeep Cherokee.
Authorities pronounced the 29-year-old motorcyclist, identified as James Winkler, deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep went to an area hospital with minor injuries and has since been discharged.
