3-vehicle crash on OK-82 near N 4430 Rd kills 1, injures 2

MAYES CO., OK – One man died, and two other people were hurt Tuesday in a multi-vehicle crash along the highway in southeast Mayes County, reports Fox 23 News. 

The accident happened just before 4 p.m. on OK-82 approaching North 4430 Road. This is between Cedar Crest and Peggs.

Police haven’t shared any details regarding the circumstances of the collision except to say that it involved three vehicles and resulted in lanes closures on OK-82 while emergency teams responded to the scene.

Authorities identified the victim in the wreck as 65-year-old Kevin Vaughan.

Another two people sustained head injuries in the accident and went to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A full investigation is underway.
